Tequila of the Week #87- General Gorosieta HP Blanco
Welcome the newest brand release from Distilleria El Pandillo. Tequila General Gorostieta, while previous produced at various distilleries is now sporting the renowned NOM 1579.
This first batch of HP blanco produced a limited 500 cases only. The agave came from owner Luis Torres’ ranch: Hacienda General Gorostieta.
Even though the agave was planted in 2016, it was registered it with CRT in January 2017, so they refused to allow the label to state the real age of it which was 8 years (2016-2024).
The agave however was exceptional the Brics sugars level was 45 and the ART were 34.9, an outstanding level of sweetness.
It was fermented in stainless steel vats (no fiber) and distilled in copper pots. No heads were cut off. Only spring water was used for it.
